Founded in 1967 by our Chairman of the Board, Haydar Salıcı, as a personal initiative, Som Tekstil has evolved into a corporate structure, securing a significant place in the textile industry. Initially stepping into the sector with the production of carpets, rugs, and blankets, our company has rapidly developed its expertise in the recycling of textile waste.

In 1995, with the establishment of Somtex Textile Industry and Trade Inc., we institutionalized our production structure, and in 1998, we expanded into the international market with Som Marketing and Textile Inc. In 2015, we invested in a nonwoven production line, starting the production of moving and packaging blankets. This new production line has further strengthened our innovative structure and sustainability-focused vision.

Som Tekstil operates in a total area of xm² with high-tech equipped production facilities, emphasizing the importance of R&D and showing value to all stakeholders, following a policy aimed at continuous development. Our company maintains a dynamic life with a collaborative management approach and an innovative structure, establishing itself as an environmentally friendly leader in the textile industry by minimizing environmental impact and transforming waste into valuable products.
